PBI ENFORCEMENT™

Runtime behavior enforcement

PBI Enforcement™ applies an approved schema of expected behavior at runtime, preventing execution outside approved boundaries and protecting applications against known and unknown threats, including zero-day attacks.

It does not need to recognize the threat

Traditional security tools rely on known signatures and threat patterns, leaving them exposed to zero days, AI-assisted attacks and supply chain compromise.

At runtime, PBI Enforcement™ checks every action against the model PBI Explainer™ built and your team approved. Expected behavior proceeds. Anything outside the model never executes.

Because it enforces how an application may behave rather than searching for known attacks, it does not need to recognize a specific threat to stop it. It protects each running application instance, from large enterprise platforms to lightweight code, as a single unified entity.

Approved behavior paths and an intercepted deviation
Colored paths show different application behaviors. The stop sign marks an attempted deviation from the model, intercepted before it can execute.

Four things worth knowing

No telemetry or feeds

No data leaves your system, no licensing server calling home, nothing external to attack.

Minimal performance impact

Runtime overhead is negligible, and enforcement does not change how the application behaves.

Runs in user space

No kernel-level modification, so no risk of system crashes, privilege conflicts or OS dependencies.

Deterministic

Identical inputs produce identical outcomes. Every event and remediation is recorded, reproducible and auditable.

When something is stopped

It is one of three things: an attack, a defect in your own software, or a legitimate behavior your tests never exercised. In every case you learn something valuable, and in none of them did PBI have to guess. There is no probability score and no queue of alerts to triage.

That third one is the honest limitation. The model comes from your tests, so where coverage is thin the model is thin. PBI does not paper over it. It names the missing test case.

PBI Enforcement™ always runs against a model built and verified by PBI Explainer™. There is nothing to enforce without one. Together they take an application from tested, to understood, to protected.
